Thanksgiving in London

Spent a lovely Autumn in London last 2018 celebrating Thanksgiving with my family — a family reunion where we also celebrated my father’s birthday.

We also went to Paris by train but most of the celebrating happened in London.

Highly recommended restaurant: Mortimer House Kitchen

Mortimer House Kitchen, a sophisticated neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of Fitzrovia. Head Chef “Lello” Favuzzi serves simple and irresistible Mediterranean plates, with rich Middle Eastern spicing peppered throughout. The outside terrace has been extended and fully heated, perfect to while away the autumn nights.” – Mortimer House Kitchen

I love (LOVE!) this place. It was the perfect spot to celebrate my father’s birthday.

Neighborhood we stayed in: Kipling Estate in the London Borough of Southwark. The brand new hotel was within walking distance to the London Bridge and Borough Stations as well as visitor attractions; Tower Bridge, Borough Market, and The Shard.

I focused on the time spent with the fam (and only took a few hours in one of the days to explore with my S.O.), brought my camera everywhere for portraits, but mostly for capturing the inspiring London atmosphere while going around with family.

The Queen is home!👀

It may not be the typical travel experience of a first time visitor but it was a wonderful travel opportunity spent with loved ones, nonetheless. Hopefully, in bloom season, I’ll be able to return and see more of this well-known pretty city!
